Hello from Crater Lake National Park
Godfrey Glen Trail
Old growth trees on a beautiful dog friendly hike
This summer has been full of outdoor adventures. In the state of Oregon we have many beautiful parks. No place in the U.S can claim they have the deepest and bluest lake though. Filled with beauty and history Crater Lake National Park is a must see!
Cisco and I are pictured on the Godfrey Glen Trail which is a short dog friendly hike. Most of the park is off limit to dogs with the exception of a few dog friendly trails to explore with your four legged friend. Just make sure to follow the rules and guidelines and don’t let your dog off leash. The canyon is scary steep.
The park is closing the only path to the lake shore in 2026 for safety upgrades. This renovation will take at least 4 years to complete. But don’t fear you can still catch the beauty of the lake from the rim and other view points from Rim Drive.
Make sure to share your adventures with your dog! Grab a bag of delicious treats to have on hand like peanut pumpkin bites. Your dog gets hungry on hikes too! Have fun!
